A Scotsman who wanders about Italy? When I get half a chance.
For the past 20 years or so, summer holidays and weekend city trips have usually involved a flight to Bel Paese, as Italians refer to their beautiful country.
Italy is a beguiling country which I will never tire of returning to. The ancient (and modern) history, embarrassingly rich culture, fantastic regional food, warm people and world beating wines are all a given.
So a bit of wandering has been the norm, although admittedly many of my visits have been to Tuscany and in particular the historic city of Lucca, which keeps calling me back.
The tagline is A Scotsman Wandering In Italy but when I am not in Italy I may well write about other places I visit, and particularly my spectacularly beautiful home town of Edinburgh.
Er, that’s it. If you like what you read, drop me a line, leave a comment, send me your top tips on visting Italy, and share links and posts with like-minded people.
